19 March 2011 [14:15] - TODAY.AZ
Former Speaker of Lithuanian Seimas, the leader of the National Revival Party of Lithuania Arunas Valinskas sent a letter to the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Speaker Ogtay Asadov in connection with the anniversary of the Khojali tragedy, the Azerbaijani Parliament said.
In his letter Valinskas expressed solidarity with the Azerbaijani people in connection with the tragedy.

"The National Revival Party’s members do not doubt that very soon justice will triumph and the perpetrators will answer for their crime," the letter says.

Valinskas also expressed confidence that the day when the aggressors will liberate Azerbaijani territory and compensate for damage is near.

Armenian armed forces with the help of the 366th motor-rifling regiment occupied Azerbaijan’s Khojaly city and committed genocide, killing hundreds of innocent people because of their ethnic background on February 26, 1992. As a result, 613 people were savagely killed, 487 were injured, and 1,275 people were taken hostages. The fates of many of them are still unknown. After the 366th motor-rifling regiment’s withdrawal from Khankendi, a major part of the military equipment owned by this military unit was transferred to the Armenian separatists.
