Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade attends several events in North Caucasus

Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade attended several events during his visit to the North Caucasus, the CMO reported.

A representative delegation headed by Pashazade participated in a ceremony, which laid the foundation for religious schools and mosques in Nalchik. Pashazadeh said he is proud of the project to build religious schools, where youth will study the sacred values of Islam.

The delegation took part in a congress in the Karachay-Cherkessia republic. Speaking at the event, Pashazade stressed the importance of joining political, public and religious figures, as well as elders, in fighting extremism and terrorism, which he said are incompatible with Islam.

During their visit to North Ossetia, the delegation participated in the Muslims congress. Pashazade offered to send a letter of gratitude to the Russian state on behalf of the religious leaders of the Caucasus for its attention to the spiritual life of Muslims in the North Caucasus.

The congress participants unanimously elected Hajimurad Gatsalov as the religious leader of Muslims in the North Ossetia.
