More Azerbaijanis being evacuated from Egypt

First secretary of the embassy Elnur Ismayilov told APA that 7 more Azerbaijanis left Egypt at night and seven others are at the airport waiting for their evacuation.

“The situation is tense. The seven Azerbaijanis evacuated tonight are now in Istanbul waiting for a flight to Baku. According to the agreement reached with the Turkish Airlines, our citizens are carried to Baku through Istanbul. Seven Azerbaijanis are at Cairo airport waiting for evacuation. Ten Azerbaijanis studying in Alexandria contacted the embassy via the hotline. Six of them will be sent to Baku today,” the embassy officer said.

The Azerbaijani citizens intending to leave Egypt due to unrests in the country can contact the embassy at hotline at 0020108112577.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has asked relatives of Azerbaijani citizens living or working in Egypt to contact and give them hotline phone numbers at the embassy.
