Azerbaijani and Belarusian presidents Ilham Aliyev and Alexander Lukashenko confirmed their commitment to developing friendly relations between their two countries during a bilateral meeting at the OSCE summit in Astana today, BELTA reported.

"We are friends, partners, and we remember your recent visit to Azerbaijan," Aliyev told Lukashenko.

He added that the ties between the two countries are actively developing in all spheres.

"We are pleased with your success and look forward to active cooperation," Aliyev said.

Lukashenko also thanked Aliyev for Azerbaijan's support financially and in other areas.

"We have many projects," he said. "They are being implemented. It is great. You can be sure that we will fulfill our obligations to your country."

The Belarusian president also stressed that his Azerbaijani counterpart's speech at the summit was "short and clear."
