TurkPA secretary general attending World Turkic Forum in Istanbul

A delegation led by Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-Speaking Countries, TurkPA, is attending the World Turkic Forum in Istanbul that will last from October 20 to 23.

In the opening ceremony, TurkPA secretary general delivered a report entitled “Role of parliaments in protection of international law.” In his speech, Hasanov also spoke about TurkPA’s recent activities, ties established with world’s leading organizations and future plans.  

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Secretary General of Turkic-Speaking Countries Cooperation Council, Ambassador Halil Akinci, Turkish Presidential Administration’s Chief Mustafa Isen, scientific figures, MPs, ministers, representatives of Turkish diasporas from 60 countries, ambassadors accredited in Turkey and representatives of international organizations and NGOs attended the opening ceremony.

The forum features seminars “Impact of global and regional problems on Turkic world”, “NGO and civil society in Turkic world” and “Cooperation in science, education and culture.”
