Azerbaijani parliamentarian meets Italian Senate members

Chairman of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis committee on international relations and interparliamentary ties Samad Seyidov met a delegation of the Italian Senate led by head of the Italy-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group Rossana Boldi. Seyidov hailed the current level of Azerbaijan-Italy relationship. He said Italy was one of the major trading partners of Azerbaijan.

He added “our education, cultural and humanitarian cooperation is developing, as well”.

According to Seyidov, the two countries' parliamentarians have fruitful cooperation within international organizations. For her part, Rossana Boldi praised the development process in Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Ms Boldi said Italy supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity. She added settlement of the conflict would contribute to development of the South Caucasus region.
