Azerbaijani CEC wants country's citizens of Armenian origin residing in Nagorno-Karabakh to participate in parliamentary elections

The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) is interested in participation of the Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian origin residing in the Nagorno-Karabakh region in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
"The CEC is interested to ensure the right of voting of the Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian origin residing in the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region in the parliamentary elections," CEC International Relations Department Head Rovzat Gasimov told Trend today.

"In the previous elections, Azerbaijan has appealed to the international organizations with request to support Azerbaijan in this matter. Azerbaijan is doing everything possible to ensure the constitutional rights of all citizens, as well as its citizens of Armenian origin, and the right of participation in the upcoming elections."

The Azerbaijani parliament elections are scheduled for Nov. 7.

Azerbaijan is ready to ensure this right of the country's citizens of Armenian origin, Gasimov said.
