Brazil and Azerbaijan protect their cultures from the influence of globalization, and they should strengthen their efforts in this regard, said Brazilian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Paulo Antonio Pereira Pinto at an event in honor of Independence Day of Brazil.
The ambassador said that he hopes for a permanent dialogue between Brazil and Azerbaijan. "I hope that capoeira relating to sport and culture will enjoy even greater development in Azerbaijan," said the ambassador.
Attending the event, Azerbaijani youth and sports minister Azad Rahimov said that Azerbaijan is interested in expanding the existing ties with Brazil in all spheres, particularly in the field of sports and culture. According to him, there are great prospects for the development of ties in these spheres. Brazil gained its independence on Sept. 7, 1822.
