Austrian Foreign Minister: Cooperation with Azerbaijan is priority for Austria

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Austria always had deep roots. Now it moves to a new level, Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Shpindelegger said at a joint press-conference with Azerbaijani counterpart in Baku.
"Austria considers cooperation with the countries of South Caucasus, including Azerbaijan, as a priority," minister said.

He said that political cooperation with Azerbaijan is as important as economic for Austria. Austrian minister invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Austria in the nearest future. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said that Austria and Azerbaijan sign the agreement on visa-free regime for people with diplomatic passports.

Minister said that Azerbaijan also considers important the cooperation with Austria. "Today cooperation in energy, humanitarian field has been discussed today. The cooperation between the Diplomatic Academies of the two countries has been also discussed. The decisions to hold Cultural Days of the two countries in Vienna and Baku next year were made," Mammadyarov said.
