
Parliamentary elections will be held absolutely transparent and fair and the opposition's accusations are unfounded, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department head Ali Hasanov told journalists today.
"In the run up to the elections, some political parties and party functionaries have constantly voiced and continue voicing ideas forming misperception on the elections in Azerbaijan misleading the international community," he said.
Hasanov expressed disappointment that the improvement of electoral practices run counter to attempts to cast doubt on the activities of the Azerbaijani ejection institutions. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan scheduled for the first week of November 2010. Some opposition parties accused the authorities of that the country has not created conditions for holding transparent elections.
Hasanov said this year's parliamentary elections will be held extremely transparent and fair in terms of cooperation with the international organizations.
"There will be ensured the right of all candidates, including each of the political parties and public organizations that wish to participate in the elections. All conditions for the functioning of supervisory institutions will be created to ensure transparency of the electoral process and the lection institutions will create all necessary conditions for the candidates," he said.
Hasanov said that the accusations of the opposition would be unfounded.
