Azerbaijanis detained in Israel to return home, date revealed

03 June 2010 [15:12] - TODAY.AZ
Two Azerbaijani activists on-board Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla aid convoy intercepted by Israel will return home on Sunday, the Isareli Interior Ministry Immigration Department said.
"We still have 2 citizens from Azerbaijan because they will have their flight only on Sunday. On Sunday they fly back. They are kept in the airport. There is a special place for the people who are willing and have to fly but they can not fly to the country. They are in the Ben Gurion Airport," the ministry said.

Reportedly, Azerbaijani citizens have voluntarily agreed to leave Israel and fly directly to Baku, but not to Turkey, as many activists of Freedom Flotilla did. The Interior Ministry refused to disclose the names of Azerbaijani citizens for security reasons, adding that their health condition is normal. It is known that both of them are males.

"They are kept under supervision of the immigration office, but they are not arrested," the Interior Ministry said.
