“Azerbaijan welcomes any steps aimed at achieving a just and peaceful settlement to Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity,” Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Elkhan Polukhov said.
He was commenting on Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s statement made after the Erdogan-Obama meeting in Washington.
“Turkey is very interested to make it clear for the Obama administration that there are sensitive points in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. For Turkey, it is important that the Obama administration focuses on this issue. We saw the Obama administration has enough information and interest in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” the Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu said.
“Turkish foreign minister’s position is of great help to inform the world community and world leaders about true information on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This will facilitate speedy resolution of the conflict based on principles and norms of international law within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity,” Polukhov said.
