The prospects of Azerbaijani-Czech military-technical cooperation are planned to be discussed in Baku in September.
For this purpose, Czech Defense Minister Vlasta ParkanAová is expected to pay a visit to Baku in early October, Azerbaijani ambassador to Czech Republic Tahir Tagizade said.
Preparation to arrange the visit is already underway.
Parkanova has headed the Czech Defense Ministry since January 2007. In 1990s she was a member of the commission observing the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Czechoslovakia. In 1997-1998, Parkanova led the Czech Justice Ministry.
Azerbaijan cooperates with about 60 countries in the military-technical sphere and has an agreement on military-technical cooperation with more than 30 countries.
