Russian president appoints ambassador to Ukraine

Russia's President Dmitriy Medvedev has signed a decree appointing Mikhail Zurabov as Russia's ambassador to Ukraine, UKRINFORM reported quoting the Russian President's web-site.
Several days ago, Medvedev sent a message to Viktor Yushchenko saying he postpones the arrival of the new ambassador to Ukraine. He said particular terms of the ambassador's arrival would be set later with a real development of Ukraine-Russia relations taken into account.

The decree on Zurabov's appointment appeared on the Russian President's Web site shortly after President Viktor Yushchenko delivered an a response message to Dmitriy Medvedev.
