Azerbaijani and Armenian parliamentarians disputed at the meeting of committee for legal and political affairs of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization Parliamentary Assembly in Manisa, Turkey.
Member of the Azerbaijani delegation MP Mubariz Gurbanli told APA he made report at the discussions over the migration in BSECO countries and its legal aspects. “I mentioned the government’s attention to the migration issues in Azerbaijan, measures take toward this and state of legislative basis of this issue. I informed the committee members that as a result of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, one million citizens are living in forced exile, and more than 250 thousand Azerbaijanis were expelled from Armenia and became refugees. Most of the participant countries supported our report. However Armenian parliamentarian used slanders trying to cover up the fact of real invasion against Azerbaijan. I and head of the Azerbaijani delegation Asaf Hajiyev said that Armenian representatives tried to mislead the public opinion. We disputed with the Armenian parliamentarians”. Gurbanli said the committee adopted recommendations on the issues discussed at the meeting. The recommendations will be reviewed at the BSECO PA meeting in Bucharest in July.
