The Ireli public union has sent an appeal to the ruling party and youth organizations of Turkey related to the issue of opening of state borders with Armenia, according to the press secretariat of the public union.

"We, the Azerbaijani youth, address an appeal to the Turkish public, heads of political parties, sociopolitical organizations, youth organizations of Turkey with a request to protest against the opening of the Turkish-Armenian border and for being informed about the official position of these structures on this issue", says the statement.
The document says that Armenia continues to occupy 20% of Azerbaijani lands, in the result of which 1 million Azerbaijani citizens are refugees and IDPs today. Notably, Yerevan demonstrates non-constructive position on talks on the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
The Ireli public union calls on the Turkish side to abstain from the steps that would damage the national interests of Azerbaijan, adhering to the slogan "Single nation, two states".
