President of Azerbaijan ends his visit to Mingechevir - UPDATED

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the “River Side” hotel in Mingachevir.
The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the hotel.

The 4-star hotel is bright evidence to the work done in tourism sector in the country.
The hotel which is situated on bank of the Kur River covers 7000 sq. m. It has 30 rooms, a conference hall, restaurants, a sport hall and others. The hotel meets all international standards.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also became familiar with the Interenergy LLC in Mingachevir on March 3.

President of Azerenergy joint-stock company Etibar Pirverdiyev told the Head of State that Interenergy established in 2006 is the unique company in the CIS area.

President Ilham Aliyev toured the facilities here. Interenergy has done total construction and repair work valued at 35,480,000 manats and 1,403,500 manats respectively. The company employs 1400 workers. The average salary is AZN 460.

Under Azerbaijani leader`s instructions, the reserve mazut tanks are being installed at the Azerbaijan thermoelectric power station.

The Head of State also saw a hoisting machine here.

President Ilham Aliyev wished every success to the Interenergy team.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the operations of the Kur LLC, electronics producer.

The Kur LLC started working in September 2005 within the framework of the State Program on socio-economic development of regions.

The company produces competitive high technology products. These products won the “quality tournament” organized by the Central and Eastern European countries. It was awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by Moody international.

The company played a key role in providing schools with computers. At the request of the Education Ministry, the company produced 27217 computers for schools. Kur exports its computers to Moldova and Georgia and is now holding talks to deliver its products to Turkmenistan.

The Head of State got familiar with the production shop here.

The company assemblies 140 computers per day. It employs 62 people. Average salary is AZN 230.

President Ilham Aliyev saw the exhibition of Kur`s products.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with “Mingachevir IZOLIT” Open Joint-Stock Company.

The Company manufactures high-quality products for major companies of the United States, Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries. Raw materials are brought to the Company from Russia, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.

It has 155 employees with average monthly wage 206 AZM.

President Ilham Aliyev toured the Company`s departments, and viewed examples of products.
The Head of State stressed the importance of operating “such enterprises” in the country`s regions. He also wished successes to the staff of the company.

The head of the state cut the red ribbon as a sign of opening of the museum. The President of Azerbaijan visited the museum and met with public representatives of the city.

The power engineers of the city held large reconstruction works and created necessary conditions for citizens' resort.

A music fountain has been established here and about 10,000 different kinds of trees and flowers are planted and a land pedestrian crossing was built.
