Iranian President congratulates Azerbaijani counterpart

President of Iran Mahmood Ahmadinezhad has congratulated President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on a victory in the presidential elections, held on October 15, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to presidential administration of Azerbaijan.

Ahmadinezhad wished to Aliyev success in the coming presidential term.

Reports say, the President of Azerbaijan received congratulations from Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, Turkmenistan Kurbanquli Berdimukhanmmedov, Tatarstan Mentimir Shaymiyev, Dagestan Mukhu Aliyev, Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov and executive secretary of the CIS executive committee Sergey Lebedev.
