Presidential candidate Qudrat Hasanquliyev files claim against CEC to Supreme Court

Presidential candidate and chairman of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Qudrat Hasanquliyev is preparing a cassational appeal to the Supreme Court against the Central Election Commission, said Elchin Mirzabeyli, plenipotentiary representative of the presidential candidate  and deputy chairman of the party. He said the Appellate Court dismissed Qudrat Hasanquliyev's claim, according to which the state did not allocate him the funds for holding his agitation campaign.

"We were told that a candidate, who did not gain the required number of votes, was to return money to the state following 2003 presidential elections.

Yet, in line with the law, the CEC was to file a claim against us after 2003, but it did not do it. Depending on our abilities, we will continue the court trial", noted he.
