Nushirevan Meherremli: "News on TV channels are not related to the electoral process"

The TV channels do not violate the Electoral Code, when they show President Ilham Aliyev in their news more than they show other presidential candidates, said chairman of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council Nushirevan Meherremli.
He noted that if the TV channels demonstrate materials with participation of the head of the state, in which he does not make any statements, related to elections, this is not the violation of the law.

"On the whole, news on TV channels, are not related to the electoral process, news can not have a sponsor. The number of materials on the presidential candidates is an internal affair of each TV channel", said Meherremli.
