Representatives of West Azerbaijan urge Hafiz Hajiyev not to take part in presidential elections

He noted that the party held an expanded session during which the activists from West Azerbaijan called on him to withdraw his candidacy and join the center of oppositional cooperation, which is boycotting the presidential elections.

"They state that injustice actions are taken against them with their rights not observed, therefore, they called on me to take part in the elections for 10 days, then apologize and stop the election campaign.

We will continue our discussions on September 13 and on September 15 we are planning to release our final position.

Naturally, I want to take part in the presidential elections, as I can not speak against the state policy, yet I can not ignore the opinion of the party activists, for, otherwise, I would have to resign from the post of a chairman", announced he.

It should be reminded that the Central Election Commission officially registered Hajiyev as a candidate for presidency this week.
