Azerbaijan's Democratic Party asks president to pardon imprisoned journalists

As is reported the session was held with participation of Baku district organizations of the party. It discussed the situation in the country and the world.

The session participants discussed boycott of presidential elections of the Azadlyg bloc. The party considers that it is also one of the democratic forms of protect, which does not contradict to national interests and reflects the situation, established in the country before presidential elections.

Due to the upcoming Day of National Press, the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan adopted a regulation with a request to the president to take a humanistic step and pardon the journalists.

The party activists consider cooperation of opposition with the authorities important for preservation of democratic and independent press.
