07 July 2008 [10:50] - TODAY.AZ
"The next visit of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to the region will probably be held in September", said Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
He noted that the talks, held during the last visit of mediators to Yerevan, Khankendi and Baku in late June, based on proposals, made by the co-chairs in November of 2007.

In November of 2007, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs presented basic principles of the peaceful resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict for consideration to the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Madrid. The co-chairs consider "the Madrid proposals" to be fair and balanced.

"These talks continue and it was also announced after the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Saint-Petersburg. The Presidents instructed the Foreign Ministers to continue talks on the basis of these very proposals", said Nalbandyan.

He added that Armenia has repeatedly voiced readiness to continue talks on the basis of these proposals.

"We are pleased that Azerbaijani side has gradually confirmed that the talks continue on the basis of these proposals", added the Foreign Minister.
