Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev received EBRD director on the Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus Michael Davy.

The press service for the Ministry told Day.Az that Heydar Babayev stressed usefulness of the cooperation with EBRD and voiced hope for further expansion of ties.
He said Azerbaijan is interested in further cooperation with EBRD in the implementation of projects in state and private economic sectors.
Davy noted that measures on entrepreneurship development and business climate improvement in Azerbaijan in the center of EBRD attention.
During the meeting the sides also discussed construction of a new cement plant and a private electric station in Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan joined the EBRD in 1992. The bank has extended credits of EUR 478 mln to the country since that.
