Khojali residents to appeal to the European Court

More than 2000 Khojali residents were invited and bore testimony to the General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of National Security and Interior Ministry over the past two years, former Khojali Executive Authority and Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament Elman Mammadov told APA.

Mammadov said he also bore testimony.

"Khojali residents told the investigators that leaderships of Armenia and separatist organization committed the genocide. Names of Armenia’s former president Robert Kocharian, current president Serzh Sargsyan, former leader of the separatist regime Arkadiy Gukasian, commander of the 6th battalion of the 366th Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces and Armenia’s defense minister Seyran Ohanyan were especially emphasized in the testimonies. Most of the Khojali residents captured and taken hostages faced with tortures and insults by the above-mentioned persons. After collecting all materials, we will appeal to the European Court of Human Rights".
