He noted that the chairman of the party and his deputies were elected in the second part of the session and heads of regional organizations of the parties were ratified.

A session of Ana Veten party, functioning in Azerbaijan, kicked off in Park Inn hotel today, said party chairman Fazail Aghamaly.

He noted that a report on the general position of the party on presidential elections was heard and a decision to nominate incumbent president Ilham Aliyev for presidential elections was passed during the first part of the session.

"In this connection, we plan to appeal to the president", noted Aghamaly.

Other organizational issues, in particular, election of a chairman and his deputy, are to be settled in the second part of the session.
