"These proposals is a result of long efforts of the co-chairs and their contacts with the conflict parties. The Madrid document really contains a number of proposals, presented by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries and OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and we are ready to continue talks on their basis", noted Nalbandyan during the press conference on Wednesday.
It should be reminded that in November of 2007 the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs presented basic principles of the peaceful resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict for consideration to the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The co-chairs consider the "Madrid proposals" to be fair and balanced.
The Armenian Foreign Minister said the existence of document and developed proposals was also confirmed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the recent press conference in Moscow.
Nalbandyan said currently the development of new proposals by the co-chairs, Armenia and Azerbaijan is not discussed. The Minister noted once more that the country is ready to continue talks on the basis of existing proposals.
"Azerbaijan should also be ready to it", resumed the Armenian Foreign Minister.
