Ali Hasanov: "Ramiz Mehtiyev has never said that there are 90 arrested journalists in England"

08 May 2008 [15:25] - TODAY.AZ
"Ramiz Mehtiyev quoting the British representative to OSCE told journalists that even in England journalists could be kept under arrest for 90 days until the court decision, but it was said in the press on behalf of Ramiz Mehtiyev that there were 90 arrested journalists in England.

These are completely different thoughts", Ali Hasanov, Head of the Socio-Political Department of the President’s Office told APA.

He added that Ramiz Mehtiyev has never said that there are 90 arrested journalists in England.

"Media should know that. Ramiz Mehtiyev quoted the British representative to OSCE that it was possible in that country to keep journalists under arrest for 90 days until the court decision". \
