Iranian authorities confirm receipt of Russian cargo, destined for Bushehr NPP

The fact was confirmed by spokesman for Iranian Foreign Ministry Mohammad Ali Hosseini.

"Thermal-insulation materials for Bushehr NPP is on the Iraninian territory on the way to the station after Azerbaijan received documents, requested from Russia", said the diplomat to Iranian satellite TV Al-Alyam.

It should be reminded that Russian cargo was arrested at the customs point Astara in Azerbaijan on March 29. The Azerbaijani customs services explained the decision by the absence of the permission of the country's government for the transit of cargo via its territory.

After Russia submitted due documents via its embassy to Baku, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan assured that the issue of cargo will be settled soon.
