Mazahir Panakhov: "An organization, observing the elections, should adhere to neutral position"

Mazahir Panakhov, chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan, received head of the US National-Democratic Institute on Azerbaijan Yen Woodward.
The due announcement was made by the press service for the Central Election Committee of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting the head of the commission noted that the structure is open and attaches special importance to cooperation with international structures.

The visitor informed Panakhov about the work carried out in Azerbaijan and voiced intention to implement projects this year.

The institute representative noted that they intend to  hold trainings for political parties, representatives of intergovernmental organizations and other observers.

Panakhov noted that during the elections, the Central Electoral Commission pays special attention to the activity of the observation institute.

"The observation should not serve the interests of any party. It should be objective. The organization observing elections, should adhere to neutral position", Panakhov resumed.
