Azerbaijani ambassador to US holds meeting in US Senate

Yashar Aliyev, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the United States, met with Chaque Heigel, member of the committee of international relations and US Special Committee for Reconnaissance.
The due announcement was made by a source from the Azerbaijani Embassy to the United States.

By the information, during the talk senator Heigel recollected his visits to Baku, meetings with country's leadership and sent his best regards to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The senator stressed strategic nature of bilateral relations and Azerbaijan's role as an important energy producing and transit state for supply of Caspian energy sources to international markets.

Heigel thanked our country for support to the United States in war on terror and stressed Azerbaijan's contribution to ensuring general security.
