Materials on the criminal case of former economic development minister of Azerbaijan Farhad Aliyev were submitted to the Supreme Court, as reported by a source from the Baku Appellate Court.
The source noted that the appeal was filed against the decision of the preliminary court hearing of the Appellate Court.
Thus, the appeal on Farhad Aliyev's case will be considered under chairmanship of judge Mirpasha Huseynov on April 15. As the appeal was filed to the Supreme Court, the process has been postponed for an indefinite period.
It should be reminded that ex-minister Farhad Aliyev was sentenced to 10 years with property confiscation and was deprived of the right to occupy leading positions within 5 years following the release. His brother Rafik Aliyev was also sentenced under the same provisions for 9 years.
