Candidate for Russian President Dimitri Medvedev gains 80% votes in Azerbaijan

Over 80% of Russian citizens in Azerbaijan voted for Dimitri Medvedev during presidential elections in Russia.

According to a source from the Russian Embassy to Azerbaijan, the voting at two election points-under the Russian Embassy in Baku and The Gabala radar station settlement at country's north-west-involved 1,733 voters.

"This is 15.7% higher as compared to the parliamentary elections of 2007", Oleg Krokhin, representative of the Embassy, said, Vzglyad reports with reference to ITAR-TASS.
