Musavat opposition party not to join election blocs or coalitions

09 February 2008 [10:13] - TODAY.AZ
The Musavat party intends to unite the protesting electorate at the presidential elections in Azerbaijan.

The due announcement was made by Arif Gajily, head of the central office of the Musavat Party, according to Day.Az.  He said the party does not intend to create or join any blocs or coalitions in the near future.

"We intend to unite protesting electorate at the presidential elections. Therefore, we do not plan to create any large coalitions or blocs. Naturally, we might hold talks with political powers of the country, which will support our candidate at the presidential elections. But unlike parliamentary elections of 2005 this time we intend to participate independently", Gajili noted.
