PACE co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan to visit correctional and investigation wards

The due information was provided by human rights activist Novella Jafaroglu.

In particular, she noted that the co-rapporteurs will meet with Eynulla Fatullayev, founder and editor-in-chief of Gundelik Azerbaijan and Realniy Azerbaijan newspapers in correctional ward No 12, reporter of Azadlyg newspaper Mirza Sakit in correctional ward No 14, former Minister of health  Ali Insanov in correctional ward No 13, national hero Rasim Alekperov, chairman of the Youth Association Yeni Fikir Ruslam Bashirli and former chief of police Mushfig Madatov.

The human rights activist announced that PACE representatives also plan to visit the former minister of economic development Farhad Aliyev kept in the investigation ward of the Ministry of National Security  and editor-in-chief of the Azadlyg newspaper Ganimat Zahid, kept in Bail investigation ward No 1.
