Andres Herkel: "The pre-election situation is normal in Azerbaijan"

The due announcement was made by PACE co-rapporteur on Monday, Novosti-Azerbaijan reports.

"I think we have much time to improve the situation and conduct fair presidential elections", Herkel said.

The co-rapporteur also noted that problems still exist in Azerbaijan.

"Such topics as a problem of political prisoners, relations with mass media are too urgent. They are not often discussed. We want the development of democracy in Azerbaijan, as well as its economy", he stressed.
