A conference on the importance of Azerbaijan-Turkey-US strategic cooperation and cooperation with modern Muslim states for the United States was held in Los Angeles.
The conference was organized by the Azerbaijani consulate-general in Los- Angeles and Azerbaijan Turkey Businessmen Association (ATIB) and attended by representatives of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Jewish communities, strategic research centers, and diplomatic corps of Los Angeles.
Elin Suleymanov, Azerbaijani consul-general in Los-Angeles, Hakan Tekin, Turkish consul-general in this city and Jimmy Delshad , mayor of Beverly Hills city, welcomed the attendees making key note speech on occassion of the event.
Mikhail Tushin, member of Jewish community, stated that development of secular Muslim states- Azerbaijan and Turkey is important both for the United States and Israel. He noted that the two states can be a sample for other Muslim states of the region owing to their political , economic and foreign policy.
MP Asim Mollazadeh and Samad Seyidov said Azerbaijan was a motherland for thousands of nations and ensured high level of tolerance. The speakers spoke on the issues of official Baku carried out in the framework of GUAM.
ATIB President Ahmad Erentok and reporter Gokhan Chapoglu spoke about groundless claims of Armenia which hinder the development of the region.
They stated that if Armenians do not change their aggressive policy against their neighbors, it will be impossible to establish cooperation with this country.
Ahmad Erentok noted that similar conferences will be held in Los Angeles on a regular basis.
