Daniel Fried: "US and Russia work together to settle Nagorno Karabakh conflict"

The United States and Russia are making joint efforts for a peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, said Daniel Fried, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs addressing to the Helsinki commission members.

He said the solution of the problem depends on the positions of Azerbaijan and Armenia and meets the interests of two states.

"I visited the region together with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to present basic principles of settlement to the Presidents this spring. These are basic solution principles," the US diplomat stressed.
