President Aliyev receives Russian FM

President Aliyev noted importance of current visit of the RF Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan. At his words, the visit will enable to discuss status of current relations between the two countries, define directions of the future cooperation. President of Azerbaijan expressed consent with the existing level of bilateral relations in all directions, including political, economic and humanitarian fields. There are good opportunities for strengthening of relations, he said.

The President stressed necessity of developing cooperation in diverse directions.

According to the Azerbaijan President, good relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are the important factor of stability and development in region.

And from this point of view, current visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan is of great importance, President Ilham Aliyev noted.

Lavrov conveyed to Azerbaijan President greetings of President Putin, expressing pleasure with his visit to Baku.

Highly estimating cooperation between the two countries in numerous fields, Mr. Lavrov said Russia attaches great importance to the relations with Azerbaijan. He expressed hope for further development of these relations for welfare of two nations. AzerTAg
