Omb appeals to ICRC for help to release captured soldier

Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova has rewritten to Martin Amacher, head of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Baku office for taking Azerbaijani captured soldier back.

The appeal says that Samir Mammadov was captured by Armenian military forces on December 24, and has not been released yet.

The ombudsperson said that the soldier's parents asked her to help to take their son back. Suleymanova asked Amacher to help to release the soldier back and prevent him from assaults and inhuman treatment.

The appeal is also addressed to the ICRC main office in Geneva and ICRC president Jacob Kellenberg. APA
