Investigation of criminal case against Farhad Aliyev and Rafig Aliyev has been completed

Farhad Aliyev is convicted under article 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 313 (abuse of power), 311 (bribery) and Rafig Aliyev under article 213 (tax evasion), 206.4 (smuggling) of Criminal Code.

Chief of public affairs department of the Prosecutor's Office Eldar Efendiyev told the that the accusations against Ferhad and Rafig Aliyev on coup d'etat stil remain and will be investigated separately.

"Investigation should be conducted and witnesses be interrogated. It was not possible to complete the case because of some issues. After the consideration, the case on accusations on corruption and on coup d’etat will be submitted to court," he said.

Efendiyev also reminded that accusation against ex-minister Ali Insanov and former official of President's Office Akif Muradveriyev are in force.
