Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan and Georgetown University organize training

Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan and Georgetown University facilitated "Diplomatic training program" for 30 employees of the Ministry of Foreign Ministry on 5-9 March. Professors of Georgetown University, USA, have arrived in Baku for this purpose.

During the training, the trainees were informed on activities of embassy, reception of official visitors, development of reports and analyses, press and information, culture and education, public relations, activities of consulates and establishment of multilateral and bilateral ties.

Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Hafiz Pashayev (Rector of Diplomatic Academy), Vagif Sadigov and Araz Azimov, ambassadors of the USA, France and Turkey to Baku shared their experiences with the trainees.

The training was held within the frameworks of Professional Skill Improvement Program for 2007 of the Diplomatic Academy.

In his comments, Hafiz Pashayev, rector of the Diplomatic Academy, said the one-week training was intended for the middle-level diplomats of the ministry.

These trainings promotes improvement of their professional skills, he added.

He said the course was successful and such training workshops will be conducted as well as in the future. AzerTAg
