League for Defense of Labor Rights to hold monitoring on freedom of assembly

League for Defense of Labor Rights will hold monitoring on freedom of assembly, chairman of the league Sahib Mammadov stated.

Mammadov said that the monitoring will last for nine months. They will investigate the situation, shortcomings in the legislation and practice.

Mammadov noted that freedom of assembly is violated more than the other rights and freedoms. Therefore there is a need to monitor this sphere.

Legislation on freedom of assembly and international legislation will be compared during the monitoring, APA reports.

The report drawn up basing on the results of the monitoring will be presented to the government, OSCE and Council of Europe Venice Commission.
