President Aliyev invites newly elected Turkmen leader to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulations to the new President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov.

"Your victory in the elections shows great respect and confidence of the Turkmen people in you. We will make joint efforts for further development of bilateral relations for welfare of our peoples, for peace, stability and progress in the region," a message says.

In his letter, President Aliyev also invited President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov to visit Azerbaijan, President's press service told the APA.
