CE Commissioner for Human Rights to visit Azerbaijan

Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg plans to visit Azerbaijan.

Though the visit is planed for the second half of March, it can take place in April. The commissioner is said to meet with the President, Prime Minister, some ministers, members of the parliament, judges, members of NGOs, rights defenders, visit jails and be acquainted with the state of human rights.

Nearly three months after the visit Hammarberg will prepare a report on Azerbaijan and present it to the Council of Europe. APA
