Giuseppe Buzzini: "EU-Azerbaijan relations are on optimistic level"

Commenting the results of the 7th Azerbaijan-EU inter-parliamentary cooperation committee, Giuseppe Buzzini noted that there exist some problems with Azerbaijan.

"The main problem is that Azerbaijan has not ratified REC-Regional Centre-Charter for Environmental Protection yet. Georgia and Armenia have already ratified the charter. But the ratification is not realized. This charter is of great importance, is considered the constitution of REC," he said.

Giuseppe Buzzini noted that Azerbaijani parliamentarians should be asked the reason, APA reports.

"They know the reason better. We hope Azerbaijan will ratify the charter, because it is the base of the regional cooperation. This programme will improve regional cooperation in South Caucasus," he considered.
