Offer on closed Musavat Assembly refused

Today at 11 a.m. the Assembly of Musavat Party started its meeting.

The meeting brought together 108 Assembly members, APA reports. Musavat leader Isa Gambar opening the assembly declared that party members should be attentive on the new period.

Commenting on organizing problems, Isa Gambar said that there were offers to hold a closed meeting of the Assembly. Later, deputy leader Arif Hajili also supported this offer. Another vice-chairman Arzu Samadbayiy, Party's chairman in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Meydan Aliyev, candidate to the leadership of the Commission for Freedom of Religion and Conscience Mirbaba Babayev and several others were against the offer. The offer was brought to a vote and it was decided to hold an open meeting. Following that, Gambar gave information about the candidates to vacancies to the leadership, secretariat, Supreme Assembly and commission leadership. At the moment the meeting is being held. The voting will be held in the second half of the day and the results will be announced at the end of the day.
