Turhan Chomez: "Northern Iraq is drawn to chaos purposely"

He said his investigation into northern Iraq will play an important role in determining Turkey's policy on Iraq.

"I have close relations with my friends in Kerkuk. The region is drawn to chaos speedily. We are visiting Kerkuk to closely observe the processes and to convey our love to Turkmen brothers," he said.

Mr.Chomez also mentioned that it has not been specified whether there will be meeting with Kurdish leaders in Iraq.

"I will present my report on the visit to Prime Minister, opposition leaders and General Staff of Turkish Armed Forces," the parliamentarian said.

Turhan Chomez visited Armenia in September last year and Beirut during Israel-Lebanon conflict.

Following the visit to northern Iraq, he is expected to visit Azerbaijan, APA reports.
