US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense visits Azerbaijan

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense James C. MacDougall is visiting Azerbaijan from September 14 to 16 for meetings and discussions with at the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs.

Mr. MacDougall works in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and has responsibility for overseeing all aspects of bilateral military relations between the United States and Azerbaijan.

In addition to discussing our military-to-military relations, Mr. MacDougall's meetings here will also cover ongoing counter-terrorism cooperation and the peacekeeping operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo, APA reports.
