Presidential pardon to be granted

Presidential pardon is expected to be granted on the 15th anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence.

Human rights activist Rena Sadeddinova told the APA political prisoner problem can be solved once and for all in Azerbaijan by this pardon decree.

Sadeddinova also said a bill on amnesty is also expected to be adopted by the end of the year.

"Experts worked on the draft law on amnesty. It will be discussed at one of the meetings of the Working Group. The bill will be adopted at least by 28 May next year," the rights defender said.
